Excel - Saving Formulas in Excel

I need to find a way to protect a formula in an Excel Worksheet. I want
to put the formula in and allow others to post their data in the
worksheet, but I do not want it to affect the formula. Is there a way to
accomplish this?

By default all cells in a sheet are locked when you protect the sheet.

Select all cells and Format>Cells>Protection........unlock them.

Now select those cells you want locked and Format them to locked.

Now protect the sheet............your formula cells cannot be edited
but referenced cells can be filled.
