Excel - Row and column headings missing
Asked By Stev on 09-Aug-07 05:36 PM
I now this is so simple, but I am drawing a blank.
I am working with a worksheet that does not have the row & column headings.
How do I produce them so I can change the column width ?
Thanks,
Steve

One way:
Tools/Options/View check the "Row & column headers" checkbox.

They are under tools>options>view>window options, you can still change the
size by going into format>column/row

In Excel 2003 or earlier:
From the TOOLS Menu, select "Options"
On the VIEW Tab, check "Row & Column Headers"
In Excel 2007:
Go to the VIEW Tab on the Ribbon
In the "Show/Hide" Section, check "Headings"

Thanks both.
I said it was simple, but I am even more embarassed now because it is even
simplier than I imagined.
Thanks again,
Steve
